Eric Schreiber, Jr. is a dedicated educator and passionate football coach, driven by a commitment to both personal and professional excellence. Born in Hammond, IN. Eric graduated from Hammond High School in 2014, where he honed his leadership skills both on and off the field.
Following graduation, Eric pursued his academic ambitions at Purdue University Northwest, earning a Bachelor's degree in Political Science in 2018. Understanding the importance of education in shaping young minds, he obtained his teaching license from Taylor University in 2019, further solidifying his commitment to educational excellence.
While nurturing his love for teaching, Eric also cultivated his passion for football. Beginning his coaching journey as an Assistant Football Coach at Hammond Clark High School from 2015-2017, he quickly established himself as a dedicated mentor and strategist. His talent and dedication earned him the position of Special Teams Coordinator and Running Backs Coach for Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Illinois from 2018-2019.
In 2020, Eric took on the role of Head Football Coach at Gary West Side Leadership Academy, where he instilled discipline, teamwork, and a winning mindset in his players. His leadership progress continued to shine as he transitioned to the role of Defensive Coordinator at Hobart High School from 2022-2023.
In pursuit of further academic and professional growth, Eric earned his Master's degree in Sociology from the American College of Education in 2023. Armed with enhanced knowledge and expertise, he returned to Hobart High School in 2024, this time as the Head Football Coach, where he continues to inspire his team to achieve greatness on and off the field.
Off the field, Eric finds joy and fulfillment in his role as a husband to his beloved wife, Sierra. Married for seven years, they are the proud parents of four wonderful children: Eric III, Brinley Grace, Eli James, and Noah Allan. As he balances the demands of family, education, and coaching, Eric remains steadfast in his pursuit of excellence, serving as a beacon of inspiration to those around him.
All my life, I want to be a Brickie! Work! Work! Work! Since the early 1900s Hobart Football has been a staple in our little town. Our program has developed over the years because of the blood, sweat, and tears from every coach, player, parent, and supporter of Brickie football. We work hard to provide our team with the best, because to us, they are just that--the best!

The Brickyard is a great place to be! When the stadium is packed, the cheerleaders are on the track, and the "boys that wear the purple and gold" take the field, the ambiance is remarkable! While we hold Brickie Bowl close to hearts, the Brickyard is home to Hobart Football.
During the off season, our boys prepare for the coming season by hitting the weight room. They volunteer for many community events. However, Hobart Football never rests. Our program runs all year long!
